Then the Non-Standalone (NSA) 5G service have gone live in 7 more cities of, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Airtel has been at the forefront of India\u2019s telecom revolution for the last 27 years. Today marks one more step in our journey as we build out the finest network to deliver the best experience for our customers.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Indian full-service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has launched beta trials of its \u2018True 5G\u2019 service in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi,. Access to the service via Jio\u2019s \u2018True 5G Welcome Offer\u2019 is available by invitation only. The development follows the launch of Bharti Airtel\u2019s. In contrast to Airtel&#8217;s network, Jio&#8217;s system\u00a0<span data-id=\"6\">uses Standalone architecture (SA).<\/span>\u00a0<span data-id=\"7\">Jio plans to launch 5G commercial services this month, and hopes to have nationwide coverage by December 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-id=\"2\">In August, India held the 5G auction.<\/span>\u00a0<span data-id=\"5\">Soon after, Airtel issued contracts for 5G to Ericsson Nokia. and Samsung.<\/span>\u00a0<span data-id=\"8\">Airtel had already acquired 19,867.8MHz spectrum at 900MHz, 1800MHz. 2100MHz. 3300MHz and 26GHz frequency band.<\/span>\u00a0<span data-id=\"3\">Jio works with Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, and Qualcomm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-id=\"4\">Vodafone Idea, India\u2019s third largest service provider, is yet to announce the launch of 5G.<\/span>\u00a0and has\u00a0<span data-id=\"1\">not yet disclosed vendors for the network.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bharti Airtel became the first service provider to launch 5G in India, in the capital city of New Delhi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the recently-concluded India Mobile Congress (IMC), the largest telecom event in India.
