{"id":14693,"date":"2023-02-27T12:56:13","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T12:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.5gworldpro.com\/?p=14693"},"modified":"2023-02-27T12:56:13","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T12:56:13","slug":"samsung-has-secured-standardized-5g-ntn-modem-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.5gworldpro.com\/?p=14693","title":{"rendered":"Samsung has secured standardized 5G NTN modem technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Samsung Electronics has announced that it has secured standardized 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTN) modem technology that will enable direct communication between satellites and smartphones in remote areas.<\/p>\n<p>This technology will be incorporated into Samsung&#8217;s Exynos modem solutions, which will accelerate \u00a0the commercialization of 5G satellite communications and setting the stage for the Internet of Everything (IoE) era powered by 6G.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5gworldpro.com\/5G-NTN-Modem-Technology.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>NTN technology employs satellites and other non-terrestrial vehicles to deliver connectivity to areas that were previously out of reach by terrestrial networks, such as over mountains, across deserts, and in the middle of the ocean.
