{"id":3069,"date":"2021-02-17T15:18:11","date_gmt":"2021-02-17T15:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.5gworldpro.com\/?p=3069"},"modified":"2021-02-17T15:18:11","modified_gmt":"2021-02-17T15:18:11","slug":"how-emf-is-calculated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.5gworldpro.com\/?p=3069","title":{"rendered":"How EMF is calculated ?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>EMF stands for electromagnetic fields, Electromagnetic field is a physical field produced by electrically charged object, the field can be viewd as the combination of an electric field and magnetic field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those EMFs are present everywhere in our environment \u2013 the earth, sun and ionosphere are all natural sources of EMF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even it is the case for wireless technologies such as WiFi,2G 3G OR 4G\u00a0 and 5G, and in wireless technologies the EMF is mainly depending on EIRP\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EIRP<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0<em>Effective Isotropic Radiated Power<\/em>, also called the\u00a0<em>Equivalent Isotropic Radiated Power<\/em>. In antenna measurements, it is the measured radiated power in a single direction\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0EIRP = Power (in dBm) + Antenna_Gain (in dBi)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remarks :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8211; EIRP can reach large value even with moderate power (if the antenna gain is large)<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; The <strong>massive MIMO<\/strong> solutions proposed by vendors are typically 200 W (53 dBm) and 23 dB of antenna gain =&gt; 76 dBm<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; This value (76 dBm) correspond to a theoretical value obtained with all the resources allocated to one single UE, with the most directive beam.
