a T-Mobile\u00a0spokesperson said\u00a0 :\u00a0“T-Mobile Home Internet is currently\u00a0in an LTE pilot,”\u00a0\u00a0“However,\u00a0we’re\u00a0preparing to launch 5G Home Internet,\u00a0and\u00a0as we work toward that, some\u00a0customers\u00a0may receive 4G and 5G compatible devices and may experience 5G\u00a0speeds.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The declaration complies with\u00a0an article from The T-Mo\u00a0paper outlining T-Mobile’s initiatives to deploy\u00a0 5G-capable fixed wireless Internet services. The short\u00a0article cited one Reddit user in Minnesota who reported\u00a0getting\u00a05G speeds up to 130Mbit\/s in part by accessing T-Mobile’s\u00a0brand-new 600MHz range holdings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
T-Mobile might well be firing\u00a0for much higher speeds for its Home Internet service. The operator has\u00a0actually proclaimed\u00a0\u00a0speeds\u00a0up to 1Gbit\/s on its new 5G network via the\u00a0mix of last Wireless technologies like carrier aggregation with spectrum\u00a0 bands ranging from 2.5 GHz to 600MHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Certainly,\u00a0T-Mobile’s CEO Mike Sievert recently hinted that the operator would soon upgrade its 4G-powered\u00a0FWA services\u00a0 with 5G-capable CPEs. He stated the operator would certainly launch the offering in “very early” 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sievert said last year that: “We’ve\u00a0been\u00a0marketing 4G LTE as a pilot all through\u00a02020\u00a0really learning a lot,” .\u00a0“We’re\u00a0trying to soak in the knowledge of how to\u00a0perform\u00a0in a market that’s tangentially\u00a0very familiar to us, but different\u00a0than our core market. And we’ve\u00a0learned\u00a0a tremendous amount about how to delight customers, and serve them, and make them happy and solve their problems. So that when the CPEs arrive for 5G, we’re going to start to scale it\u00a0up.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sievert\u00a0continued: “I’m really excited about this [fixed wireless service]. We have a great team focused on it. We’ve\u00a0put\u00a0some\u00a0of our best people in charge of\u00a0this\u00a0area.\u00a0And it’s something that our business plan is very focused on, both in suburban and rural\u00a0areas.”
