By joining the group, Google means\u00a0to contribute toward these standards<\/span>\u00a0in the sector, Google says that :\u00a0“We\u00a0believe that industry-wide open reference architectures\u00a0and\u00a0interfaces\u00a0for RAN are key to driving innovation across CSP<\/span>\u00a0mobile\u00a0networks —\u00a0with the O-RAN Alliance driving\u00a0significant\u00a0advances\u00a0in the RAN layer and<\/span>\u00a0already\u00a0gaining\u00a0traction with a number of large CSPs who have become early adopters of the<\/span>\u00a0standard ”<\/p>\n

Especially, Google will work with O-RAN initiatives in software application, 5G, network-based artificial intelligence (AI)\u00a0 technologies\u00a0 and\u00a0 multi-cloud environments.<\/div>\n

Google published its Global Mobile Side\u00a0Cloud (GMEC) strategy in March 2020. Google Cloud is now focused on three<\/span>\u00a0areas:<\/div>\n

1- The monetization of 5G networks “especially in connection with Business services and solutions”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2- data-driven customers experiences<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
3- The\u00a0improvement of operational efficiency across critical telecommunications<\/span>\u00a0systems.<\/div>\n
