As the RAN ecosystem evolves, it becomes increasingly difficult to track the different vendor deployments and their individual product offerings.
Below we summarize some of the most important vendors existing today from traditional and within Open RAN ecosystem :
- Traditional vendors are more or less reluctant to embrace the full concept. Most reluctant have the highest market share
- Radio subsystem vendors : Open RAN “pure players”, mainly US, Japan, Korea and Taiwan are pushing strongly.
- Chipset vendors and cloud : Large chipset vendors are investing heavily to enable infrastructures compliant with RAN requirements Hyperscalers are preparing their infrastructure to support vRAN
- Integrators :Integrators are preparing to extend their market (IT, Platforms) to the RAN integration.
